Viridien has announced that Helen Lee Bouygues has resigned as a director of the company, effective from 11 September. The board has also co-opted Amélie Oyarzabal as a new independent director until the end of 2027, subject to ratification at the 2025 general meeting. Oyarzabal has also been appointed to the Audit & Risk Management Committee and the New Businesses and M&A Committee. Philippe Salle, chairman of Viridien's board, said the company was "delighted" to welcome Oyarzabal, hailing her experience and expertise in finance.

Viridien has announced its Q3 and 9M 2024 results, with revenue of $246m and $778m respectively, and adjusted EBITDA of $98m. The company reported a net cash flow of $10m for Q3 and $34m for 9M, compared to -$15m in 9M 2023. The company's financial roadmap for 2024-25 includes expected revenue in line with 2023, an EBITDA positively impacted by business mix, Earth Data cash capex of $230-250m, and a net cash flow similar to 2023. Management and technology consulting firm Camelot Management Consultants, which has strengths in supply chain, data and analytics, has been acquired by Accenture. Terms of the deal, which was first announced in July this year, have not been disclosed. Survey and data analytics company Viridien and seismic services provider SLB have completed a multi-client survey of the Bonaparte Basin, offshore Australia. The 6,760 sq km survey, prefunded by industry support, is designed to evaluate the exploration and carbon storage potential of the area, which has been described as "highly prospective but underexplored". The data, which is currently being processed, will be available in Q2 2025.

OpenPBS has released version 22.05.11, which marks its switch to date-based versioning. Users can now build their own versions while maintaining consistent versioning for their build. Slurm, an open source, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cluster management and job scheduling system for large and small Linux clusters, has released version 24.05.1 that addresses several issues from its previous version. The new release is available for download on the project's website, along with the previous security fix for switch plugins (versions 23.11.9 and 23.02.8) and the next upcoming version 23.11.8.

Slurm versions 24.05.2, 23.11.9, and 23.02.8 are now available, including a fix for a security issue with the switch plugins.
