Viridien Reports Strong Q3 and 9M 2024 Financial Results

Viridien has announced its Q3 and 9M 2024 results, with revenue of $246m and $778m respectively, and adjusted EBITDA of $98m. The company reported a net cash flow of $10m for Q3 and $34m for 9M, compared to -$15m in 9M 2023. The company's financial roadmap for 2024-25 includes expected revenue in line with 2023, an EBITDA positively impacted by business mix, Earth Data cash capex of $230-250m, and a net cash flow similar to 2023. The company's CEO, Sophie Zurquiyah, stated that the results demonstrate the strength of Viridien's strategic vision and that the company is on track to achieve its full-year targets.

Accenture Acquires Camelot Management Consultants to Enhance Supply Chain Capabilities

Management and technology consulting firm Camelot Management Consultants, which has strengths in supply chain, data and analytics, has been acquired by Accenture. Terms of the deal, which was first announced in July this year, have not been disclosed. The acquisition is intended to bolster Accenture's ability to help clients improve their SAP and AI-driven supply chains. Camelot was founded in 1996 and is a leading SAP partner in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with a broad portfolio of large and mid-size clients in the chemicals, life sciences, consumer goods and industrial manufacturing sectors.

Viridien and SLB Complete Offshore Bonaparte Basin Survey to Assess Exploration and Carbon Storage Potential

Survey and data analytics company Viridien and seismic services provider SLB have completed a multi-client survey of the Bonaparte Basin, offshore Australia. The 6,760 sq km survey, prefunded by industry support, is designed to evaluate the exploration and carbon storage potential of the area, which has been described as "highly prospective but underexplored". The data, which is currently being processed, will be available in Q2 2025.

Slurm 24.05.3 and 23.11.10 Released with Important Fixes

The latest versions of the Slurm scheduler, a popular workload management platform used in HPC, have been released. Slurm 24.05.3 fixes a potential database problem when deleting a QoS, which only existed in version 24.05, while both new versions resolve issues with jobs getting stuck when using cloud nodes, and a regression in 23.11.9 and 24.05.2 that caused the sattach command to crash. Users are advised to update as soon as possible.
